Molly Moreno is an artist living and working in Brighton, UK. She creates highly stylised characters, drawing inspiration from fashion, glamour, maximalist interiors and all things unapologetically feminine.
With a background in film photography and illustration, Molly studied Fine Art for five years before taking a break from creating. She found her way back to her practice during maternity leave, and since has grown from illustration into painting and ceramics, where her stylised characters truly come to life.
Molly’s work is playful and a little bit dramatic. With a love for make up, historical fashions and design, she enjoys depicting the social rituals that come with getting dressed up, going out and sharing a silly, over-priced cocktail with a friend.
At the heart of her practice is a love of colour, excess and the joy of creating things that are fun to look at and even more fun to live with.
